We have always known that learners change with every passing year. But it’s only recently that we’ve learned a lot more – and in a lot more detail – about how these developmental changes impact on what they can and cannot (yet) do. This new research matters even more now that a totally new generation of learners is about to enter grade 4 – with their post-pandemic emotions, their modern interests, needs, and motivations. All of this gives us great hints about what (not) to do with these 4th graders, to really help them learn a lot better. Would you like to know the why and especially the how?

If so, come along too this highly informative and highly practical session. I’ll show you which activity types you should focus on – and which ones or save for (much) later with your 4th graders, or else you’ll risk ruining their great potential. This will give you lots of practical hints for how to introduce, revise and consolidate language material, in grade 4 as well as in years to come.
